SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — The USS South Dakota Day of Honor commemorates the crew members who have served on the armored cruiser, the battleship and the current attack submarine that proudly bear the state’s name. Activities start at 10 a.m. at the Battleship South Dakota Memorial in Sioux Falls with a concert by the Municipal Band Brass Quintet. The ceremony begins at 11 a.m. and features former Lt. Governor Matt Michels. Admission is free.

It’s the final day of the Sioux Empire Fair at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds in Sioux Falls. Exhibits open at 10 a.m. Midway rides and games open at noon. Sioux Empire Championship Rodeo takes place in the grandstand at 1:30 and 7 p.m. Admission to the rodeo is free with a paid fair admission, which is $10 for adults, $5 for children and free for ages 5 and under.

Concerts wrapping up the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally include Peach Street Revival at the Harley-Davidson Rally Point, Yelawolf at the Iron Horse Saloon, Mini Kiss, Back in Black, and Van Zeppelin at the Buffalo Chip Campground and Lorrie Morgan at the Full Throttle Saloon.

Bee Taylor is the headliner for an evening of free music at Levitt at the Falls in downtown Sioux Falls. The opening act is Ultra Violet Fever. The music starts at 7 p.m.

Celebrate the important roll that bugs play in nature during Bugapalooza at the Butterfly House & Aquarium in Sioux Falls. There will be interactive exhibits showing how bugs of all types are essential for our planet’s health from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission is free.

The Outdoor Campus in Sioux Falls is hosting a Hunting & Fishing Gear Giveaway. Visitors can pick out some gently-used outdoor gear and enter to win door prizes from 10 a.m. to noon.

Farmers Market season in KELOLAND includes the Falls Park Farmers Market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Brandon Farmers Market goes from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at 925 North Splitrock Boulevard. The farmers markets are held each Saturday through October.

The Old-Fashion Humboldt Threshing Show features a parade at 1 p.m., a pedal pull at 2 p.m., a horse pull at 4 p.m. and a Dakota Opera country music concert at 7 p.m. The Threshing Show is taking place at the Bahnson Farm, 3-miles south of Humboldt from Highway 19.

The Heartland County Corn Maze, east of Harrisburg on Highway 11, is open for its 25th season. The 11-acre maze is open from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday’s hours are noon to 5 p.m. Admission is $9, $6 for children and free for ages 4 and under.

This is the final weekend of swimming at three of the City of Sioux Falls outdoor pools. Frank Olson, Terrace Park and McKennan Wading pool will close for the season after Sunday. The city pools are open from 1-8 p.m.

Movies playing at the historic State Theater in downtown Sioux Falls include Up, rated PG and Dune: Part Two, rated PG-13.

The Wells Fargo CineDome & Sweetman Planetarium at the Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls features Wings Over Water, Magic Globe, Zodiac Skies and Cities of the Future.

New movie releases playing at a theater near you include It Ends with Us, rated PG-13, The Firing Squad, rated PG-13 and Cuckoo, rated R.

The Canaries baseball team takes on the Milwaukee Milkmen. First pitch at Sioux Falls Stadium is 5:35 p.m.

Enjoy a night of sprint car racing at I-90 Speedway in Hartford, SD. Gates open at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. The races start at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15, $6 for students, free for ages 12 and under.
