SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) — Sanford Health announced it will combine with two West River health facilities.
In a news release, Sanford said it will become the parent organization of Black Hills Surgical Hospital and Black Hills Orthopedic and Spine Center, along with the pair’s additional facilities and services in Rapid City and the Black Hills Surgery Center in Gillette, WY.
“We look forward to establishing a more permanent presence in the region and continuing to work with others to expand comprehensive health care services to patients in western South Dakota, including Rapid City and the surrounding area,” Sanford CEO Bill Gassen said in a news release.
The combination is expected to be finalized next week.
