MANILA, Philippines — San Miguel remained winless in five games in the East Asia Super League after yielding to PBA guest team Hong Kong Eastern, 84-74, on Wednesday at Philsports Arena.
The visiting squad dominated the Beermen right from the get-go with Cameron Clark and Chris McLaughlin leading the way en route to a lopsided win for an improved 3-2 record at No. 3 in Group A.

Clark, interestingly a former San Miguel import, haunted his ex-PBA team with 25 points and eight rebounds.
McLaughlin put up an all-around outing with 15 points, 17 rebounds, and five assists.

Hayden Blankley and Glen Yang chipped in 11 points each for Hong Kong Eastern.
San Miguel’s closest chance midway through the fourth when its all-Filipino five led by June Mar Fajardo cut it down to 77-70 but HK Eastern was quick to get its act together scoring five straight points to keep the home squad at bay.
Fajardo carried the Beermen with 20 points and 13 rebounds, while Don Trollano also contributed 20 on top of five assists and four rebounds.
San Miguel, already out of the Final Four race, reeled to the bottom of Group A with a 0-5 record.
