SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Rockerville fire units were sent to a wildland fire on Beretta Road late Saturday afternoon.

In a Facebook post, the Rockerville Volunteer Fire Department stated that they were dispatched to a wildfire Saturday. With assistance from Battle Creek, state, and USFS personnel, the fire was contained.

The fire was held to under 2 acres and had a single tree snag torching.

The fire is currently contained and controlled and the fire response units will continue to monitor the situation.

The Rockerville Volunteer Fire Department warns people of the dryness and to be careful of ignition sources.
