INDIANAPOLIS — Welcome back to the Hoosier State, Thomas Bryant.

Per ESPN, the Pacers are finalizing a trade with the Miami Heat to bring Bryant to Indiana. The 6-foot-10 center played for two seasons at Indiana University before entering the NBA in 2017.

The Rochester, NY native was named Third Team All-Big Ten in 2016 during his sophomore season at IU. He was also First Team All-NBA G-League in 2018 for the Washington Wizards.

Bryant has averaged 9.5 points and 5.4 rebounds in 18.5 minutes per game during seven seasons in the NBA. He previously played for the Lakers, Wizards and Nuggets before joining the Heat last season.

Per Shams Charania, the Pacers are trading a future second-round pick for Bryant. The big man will likely play backup center for Indiana after early season-ending injuries to Isaiah Jackson and James Wiseman.
