BROOKINGS, S.D. (KELO) — SDSU quarterback Mark Gronowski intends to enter the Transfer Portal, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
According to Thamel, Gronowski is also weighing forgoing his remaining eligibility and entering the NFL Draft.
The senior led SDSU to a 49-6 record as a starter, which is tied for the most wins for a QB at the FCS level. He helped guide the Jackrabbits to the first three national championship game appearances in program history at the D-I level and back-to-back titles in 2022 and 2023.
The 2023 Walter Payton Award winner for the top FCS offensive player threw for 10,330 yards and 93 touchdowns during his time in Brookings. He also ran for 1,767 yards and 37 touchdowns.
The news comes one day after head coach Jimmy Rogers left SDSU for Washington State.
