INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a stabbing that reportedly occurred near Victory Field.
Public police records indicate officers were dispatched to 501 W. Maryland St. on a report of a person stabbed.
IMPD reported that the stabbing happened at approximately 4:07 p.m. Saturday. Police first received word of the incident around 4:39 p.m.
IMPD’s report does not list any information pertaining to potential suspects. Police records indicate one victim was involved in the incident.
No additional information on the victim’s condition has been made available. In its report, IMPD labeled the incident as an aggravated assault.
The Indianapolis Indians were not home at the time of the reported stabbing. The Indians were in Louisville for a series with the Bats.
