Madison, WI — Today, Representative Lisa Subeck (D-Madison) was selected unanimously by her fellow members of the Wisconsin Assembly Democratic Caucus to remain Caucus Chair. Also elected were Minority Leader Greta Neubauer (D-Racine), Assistant Leader Kalan Haywood (D-Milwaukee), Vice-Chair Clinton Anderson (D-Beloit), Secretary Mike Bare (D-Verona), and Sergeant-At-Arms Jodi Emerson (D-Eau Claire). Representative Subeck released the following statement following her re-election:
“It is truly an honor that our caucus has once again placed its trust in me to serve as Chair. During the last legislative session, we faced unique challenges as we worked to protect Governor Evers’ veto and defend reproductive rights and democracy in Wisconsin. Not only did we rise to those challenges, but we also achieved victories in securing fair maps and expanding our Democratic Caucus.
The Assembly Democratic Caucus is diverse, talented, and ambitious, and I look forward to showing Wisconsinites what we can do with the trust they have placed in us. The stakes are high and this leadership team is ready to meet the moment.”
Representative Lisa Subeck has served in the Wisconsin State Assembly since 2015 and as Chair of the Assembly Democratic Caucus since 2022.
