Madison – Today, State Representative Lindee Brill was sworn-in for her first term representing the people of Wisconsin’s 27th Assembly district. Rep. Brill (R-Sheboygan Falls) took her first oath of office during an inauguration ceremony held in the Assembly chamber Monday afternoon. Rep. Brill was one of only two Assembly Republicans who voted against empowering Rep. Robin Vos (R-Rochester) to serve another term as Speaker of the Assembly. The newly sworn-in representative made the following comments:

“I am honored to begin my first term as the representative of Wisconsin’s 27th Assembly district and I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to serve the people of our great state. I look forward to working alongside my colleagues in the Legislature to make principled and meaningful change for all Wisconsinites. The people of the 27th district can rest assured that I will follow through on my campaign promise to only support policies rooted in conservative principles that will positively affect our state. Specifically, I will work tirelessly to protect human life from conception to natural death, to keep our kids and communities safe from harmful drugs like marijuana and fentanyl, and to promote confidence in our state elections processes, among other important priorities.”

“It is no secret that a central theme of my Assembly campaign was the frustration that Wisconsinites across our state bear towards the leadership of the Assembly Republican caucus. It should thus come as no surprise that I did not vote to re-elect Speaker Vos. While I had hoped for a change in leadership, I remain convicted that we can deliver common-sense, conservative reforms for the people of our state this session. I will work with anyone in order to realize that goal. I pray that this session will produce results that make me regret voting against the Speaker and I believe that true and steady fealty to conservative principles can make such an outcome manifest. May God guide us in all things and may He bless the great people of our state.”

The representative’s office is located in Room 409 North at the Wisconsin State Capitol. She may be reached at (608) 237-9127 or by email at [email protected].

Representative Lindee Brill (R-Sheboygan Falls) serves the 27th Assembly District which includes portions of Sheboygan, Fond du Lac, Calumet, and Manitowoc counties.
