SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Aside from the cold start, it should be a quiet day.  Highs will reach the 30s for many in KELOLAND as winds will be light.

It will be another cold night as lows fall to the teens.

Tomorrow will start one of a series of disturbances we’ll have to watch in our northwest flow.  As these move through, light snow showers will be possible with an increase in wind and colder air.  Tomorrow’s best chance for snow is setting up in northeast South Dakota.  Moisture is limited, but a quick inch cannot be ruled out for some in the northeast.

Thanksgiving will bring another chance at light snow and flurries, but this will be in western South Dakota. Expect dry skies elsewhere with highs ranging from the teens in northeast South Dakota to the low 30s in southwest KELOLAND.

Another disturbance will run through late Friday into Saturday.  The chance for snow with this one is setting up from northwest South Dakota to southeast KELOLAND. Again, moisture is limited so expect light accumulations, if any.

It will remain cold for the holiday weekend.  We’re thinking highs will be in the teens and 20s with overnight lows falling to the single digits.  Throw in any amount of wind, and the wind chills will easily fall below zero during the mornings.
