The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from noon to 9 PM MDT Thursday. The
Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

* IMPACTS: Increasing Thunderstorm Activity will create erratic
fire behavior and new fire starts.

In Northwest WY Fire Zone….415.
In West Central WY Fire Zones…414…416.

In Central WY…Fremont.
In North Central WY…Park.
In West Central WY…Lincoln…Sublette…Teton.

* WIND: Northwest 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* THUNDERSTORMS: Storms will develop over the area Thursday
afternoon and continue into Thursday evening. New fires starts
from lightning strikes will be a concern. Locally heavy rain will
also be a threat from these storms, due to slow storm motion.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are
either occurring now….or will shortly. A combination of strong
winds…low relative humidity…and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
