INDIANAPOLIS — A ramp connecting Interstate 465 southbound to Interstate 70 eastbound on the east side of Indianapolis temporarily closed Sunday evening.
Around 8:30 p.m., first responders were sent to mile marker 89.5 on I-70 eastbound on a report of a crash. Public emergency reporting systems indicate the crash involved entrapment in some fashion, forcing officials to close the ramp for a time.
According to the Indiana Department of Transportation’s traffic map, the ramp was closed as of 8:48 p.m. INDOT reported that the ramp reopened around 9:15 p.m.
Officials have not announced what caused the crash or how many cars were involved in it. Indiana State Police have indicated that those who were hurt in the crash only sustained minor injuries. ISP could not, however, confirm exactly how many people were injured in the crash.
