A high of 82 degrees is expected in the Denver metro area on Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures are expected to drop to an overnight low of 59.
The weather service said in a tweet that storms are currently developing in Eastern Colorado and will likely move through the state as the day goes on. There’s a 30% chance of thunderstorms after 2 p.m. for Friday

Saturday’s forecast calls for a high of 88 degrees, with wind gusts as high as 16 mph. Saturday has about a 40% for thunderstorms after noon.
The National Weather Service says that precipitation is likely to carry through the weekend and into Monday, with a 50% for thunderstorms after noon on Sunday and 30% on Monday.
