Tyler Boyd, like Ridley, was brought in to give Levis another weapon in his holster. A veteran who spent his first eight seasons in Cincinnati, Boyd is reliable. He’s recorded 6,000 receiving yards in his career with 31 touchdowns and only five fumbles. He is Levis’ third option, so his touches are likely to be fewer than Ridley and Hopkins, but he will still get his touches.
The help that Levis gets from the additions of Ridley and Boyd is that when one of his receivers is double-teamed, he’s got more than one option to search for. All three of his receivers are veterans who have been around for several years, they know what their expectations are and how to achieve the goals laid out in front of them.
Boyd may not produce the fantasy points that Ridley and Hopkins will likely have, but he’s still a solid WR3 option for Week 1.
