INDIANAPOLIS — Part of Interstate 465 temporarily closed late Saturday night.
According to the Indiana Department of Transportation’s traffic map, all lanes of I-465 northbound near mile marker 9.7 were shut down around 10:24 p.m. to allow first responders to extinguish a vehicle fire.
The area of I-465 impacted by the fire was situated between Interstate 70 and Sam Jones Expressway.
As of 10:45 p.m., INDOT had not provided an update regarding exactly when traffic will begin to flow through the area normally. It is also unclear if anybody was injured in the fire.
As of this article’s publication, little additional information on the blaze had been made available.
