Scottsdale Police Department detectives are conducting a death investigation as a possible murder suicide after three people were found deceased inside a residence near Indian Bend Rd and Via de la Sendero on March 26 around 3 p.m.
All three people had gunshot wounds.
According to the Scottsdale Police Department, officers first responded to the residence for a welfare check just after 10 a.m. on March 26. A concerned coworker of one of the victims called Scottsdale Police to report their fellow employee’s absence and that they were unable to contact them. Responding officers attempted numerous ways to contact occupants of the residence but were unable to establish contact. Officers checked the perimeter of the residence and, while in the backyard, they observed two people who appeared to be dead inside the house. Officers ultimately made entry into the home and located a third person who was found dead in a separate room.
Police say there is no danger to the surrounding community and that the investigation is ongoing.
The victims’ identities have not been released.
The Maricopa County Medical Examiner is working to determine the exact cause of death.
