INDIANAPOLIS — A police chase blocked all lanes of traffic on Interstate 65 Monday night.
The Indiana Department of Transportation’s traffic map indicated that, as of 9:51 p.m., all lanes were closed on I-65 southbound near mile marker 102 because of a “traffic hazard.” INDOT characterized the hazard as being located between Stop 11 and County Line Roads.
Indiana State Police have confirmed that a chase involving a stolen vehicle ended in the area, which created the hazard in the roadway.
INDOT reported that the hazard was expected to be cleared around 10:30 p.m. As of this article’s publication, police were still blocking the roadway.
No additional information on the incident has been made available at this time.
