SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Schools on the Pine Ridge Reservation were canceled on Thursday due to safety concerns from a social media post.
The Oglala Sioux Tribe Department of Public Safety (OST DPS) posted on Facebook Wednesday evening shortly before 11 p.m. CT that officers were aware of the social media threats.
A half hour later, the OST DPS posted again that the male who made the threats, along with his parents, were taken into custody.
School will resume on Friday, September 13.
