PIERRE – Governor Boys Tennis finished third Friday in the Pierre Invitational team event at Griffin Park.
Pierre scored 235 points, two behind second-place Sioux Falls Christian. Rapid City Christian won with 370 points.
Pierre’s #5 singles player, Spencer Kelly, won the title match in his flight over Noah Geyer of Rapid City Christian. Kelly and Luke Leingang won the #2 doubles flight, defeating Andrew Dobbs and Jack Hancock of Rapid City Christian. In #1 singles, Matthew Hanson lost in the championship match. Blake Judson was fourth in #2 singles. Leingang was the runner-up in #4 singles. Carter Schulz was second in #6 singles.
