MANILA, Philippines—Philippines’ Sofia Frank reset her personal best in her maiden campaign at the World Junior Figure Skating Championships in Tallinn, Estonia.

Frank tallied her highest score in the short program with 53.86 to finish at 22nd place among 43 competitors over the weekend.

The Filipino-American, however, struggled in the free skate where she registered a score of 83.14 for a total of 137.00.

The 16-year-old Frank’s previous high in the short program was 53.30 during the Finlandia Trophy in October of last year.

American Isabeau Levito won the gold with an overall score of 206.55 while South Korean Shin Jin-a (206.1) and another American in Lindsay Thorngren (199.42) claimed the silver and bronze, respectively.
