On August 4th, around 6 p.m. Phoenix police received a call about a person shot in a vehicle in the area of 35th Avenue and Glendale. Officers on scene discovered an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound and transported him to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
Detectives learned that the male confronted an ex-girlfriend and made her drive his vehicle to 35th Avenue and Glendale after firing a gun several times in the air. Once near the destination, the male crawled into the backseat of the car, pointed the gun at himself and fired.
At this time, this incident is being investigated as a suicide.
