INDIANAPOLIS — A person is in critical condition after being found shot on Indy’s near northwest side Wednesday night.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched around 8:53 p.m. to the 2600 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street after receiving reports that a person was possibly shot in the area.
According to IMPD’s online reporting system, officers were initially called to respond to vandalism before the run type was later upgraded to a person shot.
IMPD said officers arrived and found an individual suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was last reported to be in critical condition.
No other information was immediately available.
