INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis metro police are investigating after a person was shot and critically injured on Indy’s near northwest side Friday night.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched around 6:10 p.m. to the 2100 block of Sugar Grove Avenue in response to reports that a person had been shot in the area.
Upon arrival, IMPD said officers found an individual suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital in critical condition, according to IMPD.
No other information on a possible suspect or the circumstances surrounding the shooting was immediately available.
