INDIANAPOLIS — A person was critically injured in a shooting on the south side of Indianapolis late Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, around 4:42 p.m., officers were called to the 7800 block of Burr Oak Court — which is located just off West Stop 11 Road — on a report of a person shot. When police arrived at the scene, they located a victim with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.
IMPD has confirmed that that victim is currently in critical condition. Police also indicated that they detained a person of interest at the scene.
