Pennsylvania Democratic Lt. Gov. John Fetterman mocked Senate Republican rival, Dr. Mehmet Oz on Tuesday as a carpet bagger from New Jersey, a potent political attack in the neighboring Keystone State.

At 6′9″, the hulking Fetterman, who likes to post photos of himself filling up his Dodge Ram pickup truck, ridiculed Oz for being from the only state in the nation where drivers aren’t allowed to pump their own gas.

“Dude, you’re literally from Jersey,” Fetterman tweeted. “I bet you don’t even know how to pump your own gas.”

It’s the latest “Jersey boy” jibe from Fetterman aimed at Oz, who has lived in New Jersey for years and switched his official address to a Philadelphia suburb so he could run for Senate.

A pro-Fetterman post by “Jersey Shore” star Snooki urging the TV doctor to “come home” to the Garden State went viral, apparently encouraging Fetterman to return to the attack line.

As many New Yorkers know, self-service gasoline is banned in New Jersey, a practice that leads to many denizens of the state being befuddled when faced with the need to fill up their cars in other states.

Fetterman and Oz are battling to replace retiring Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) in one of the marquee matchups of the midterm elections.

Fetterman, whose political base is in blue-collar western Pennsylvania, has run a strong campaign, cruising to victory in a contested Democratic primary and consolidating support from his rivals.

So far, Fetterman has shrugged off the impact of a stroke he suffered the week before the primary, an illness that has kept him off the campaign trail ever since.

Oz, on the other hand, barely edged out a win over GOP rivals after scoring an endorsement from former President Donald Trump and has struggled a bit to gain traction since.

Sen. Bob Casey (D-Pa.) also jumped in to boost Fetterman with a photoshopped post of a highway exit sign with one arrow pointed to “Going Home to New Jersey” and the other “Running for Senate in Pennsylvania.”
