Penn. man charged with threatening FBI over Mar-a-Lago raid

A Pennsylvania man threatened to kill as many FBI agents as he could in the days after agents searched former President Trump’s home at Mar-a-Lago, according to police.

Adam Bies, 46, has been charged with influencing, impeding or retaliating against federal law enforcement officers over a series of graphic threats on the far-right social media site Gab, according to court documents released Monday.

The FBI’s National Threat Operations Section was tipped off about a Gab user, who went by the handle “BlankFocus,” including a post that read “My only goal is to kill more of them before I drop,” according to investigators. That account was then tracked to an email address and an IP address that led them to Bies.

“I’m ready for the inevitable. Once you accept reality for what it is instead of what you want or to be, you can move on with your life and get prepared for the inevitable outcome,” Bies allegedly wrote in another post.

“I already know I’m going to die at the hands of these piece of s–t child molesting law enforcement scumbags. My only goal is to kill more of them before I drop. I will not spend one second of my life in their custody.”

In another, he allegedly compared FBI agents to SS and KGB officers.

“It’s perfectly OK for the government to constantly tell you that they intend to murder you, but when we decide we’ve had enough and tell them we are going to slaughter THEM, you get banned from Gab,” he wrote in another, according to the court documents.

“Every single piece of s–t who works for the FBI in any capacity, from the director down to the janitor who cleans their f–king toilets deserves to die,” reads a message posted on Aug. 10. “You’ve declared war on us and now it’s open season on YOU.”

Almost all of the threats were made after the Aug. 8 search at Mar-a-Lago, investigators said.

Bies remains in custody until a detention hearing scheduled for Thursday.

If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison.

Bies’ arrest came just days after an armed man tried to enter the FBI field office in Cincinnati. Ricky W. Shiffer, 42, allegedly set off alarms around 9:15 a.m. on Aug. 11, then led police on a car chase and into an hours-long standoff. He was eventually killed by police.
