MANILA, Philippines—Blackwater got a strong start from Troy Rosario in claiming a 100-94 win over Terrafirma on Wednesday in the PBA On Tour at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Rosario scored 13 points in the first quarter before finishing with 20 while adding five rebounds in 23 minutes as the Bossing were victorious in their third game in the two-month exhibition series.

It was the second appearance of the versatile big man in the series where he is looking to use it to get some of his old form back after playing just 10 games since being acquired from TNT in last season’s Commissioner’s Cup.

The Bossing won after being handed a 34-point beating by the Magnolia Hotshots last Sunday at the same venue.

“Before they would say that things would go downhill after a big loss,” said acting coach Joe Silva in Filipino. “But we found a way to bounce back, we found a way to stick together and we found a way to come together and play as a team.”

Rashawn McCarthy had 13 points while RK Ilagan and Baser Amer added 12 and 11, including key shots late that secured the win for Blackwater.

Terrafirma lost for the second time in as many games in the On Tour.

Juami Tiongson topscored with 22 points, but it was incoming sophomore guard Allen Mina who made an impression for the Dyip during the loss.

Mina dropped 13 of his 19 points in the opening period and ended the match having drained six of 10 shots from the field.
