SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) —After a warm day yesterday, cooler temperatures are likely across KELOLAND this afternoon. We did reach a high of 81 in Sioux Falls, 87 in Aberdeen 86 at Pierre, and 84 in Rapid City.

Our hourly planner today for Sioux Falls features temperatures in the mid-60s by noon with partly sunny skies. High temperatures will reach close to 70 with a breezy northeast wind. No rain is in the forecast.

On Futurecast, you can see temperatures climbing back to the 60s in much of South Dakota today. With light winds and clear skies tonight, patchy frost will be possible north of Sioux Falls with lows mainly in the mid-30s. Tomorrow, we’ll have rebounding temperatures in the 70s and eastern KELOLAND and 80s near Rapid City. With stronger south winds expected, fire danger will increase.

A dry forecast is ahead not just in the short-term period, but also through much of the extended forecast.
