SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A Sioux Falls man, on parole for a stabbing, is back behind bars accused of shooting someone in the face.
Police say 21-year-old Jacob Leroy shot at a car in an apartment parking lot, near 41st Street and Marion Avenue, Wednesday morning.
One of the bullets hit a man but his injuries are non-life threatening. Police used surveillance video to link Leroy to the crime.
When officers arrested him, police allegedly found a baggie of meth.
Leroy is on active parole for stabbing a 16-year-old in the stomach. Last year, a judge sentenced him to four years in prison for that crime.
Leroy got out on parole in September after serving less than a year of the sentence.
He’s now being held on a $250,000 cash-only bond.
