INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis Fire Department crew rescued an owl that was stuck in a soccer net on Saturday.

In a post on X, IFD reported that a concerned citizen stopped by one of its stations around 4 p.m. to tell first responders about an owl that was trapped in a goal at the Saint Francis soccer fields, which are located in the 7700 block of Arlington Avenue.

After speaking with the citizen, an IFD crew sprang into action, using scissors to cut the netting the owl was caught in.

After about 15 minutes of work, the owl was freed from the goal.

Video IFD captured during the incident can be found at the top of this story.
