Orland Park’s DeNardo studies at Birch Creek
Shane DeNardo, a talented young musician from Orland Park, recently spent a couple weeks in Door County, Wisconsin, studying at Birch Creek Music Performance Center.
DeNardo, a student at The Music Connection, was among 63 musicians from throughout the country to attend the symphony session at this prestigious academy, which provides intensive, performance-based instruction to promising young musicians by immersing them in a professional, mentoring environment.
Father Perez Knights of Columbus installs officers
Father Perez Knights of Columbus Council 1444 installed its officers for the 2024-2025 fraternal year last month at the Perez Clubhouse in Chicago’s Mount Greenwood neighborhood.
The officers include Ryan Brady, Ed Fineran, Dan Conwell, Brian Larkin, Matt Stevens, Tony Simulis, Bill Donnelly and Joe Chausse, all of St. Christina Parish, Jeffery Brouder and Dennis McGuire of St. John Fisher Parish, Pat Murphy of Mother of Mercy Parish, Pat Lynch of St. Linus Parish and Kevin Herman, Queen of Martyrs Parish.
The Board of Trustees include Rich Doyle of St. Cajetan Parish, Bob Griffin of St. Christina Parish and Terry McMahon of Queen of Martyrs Parish.
Frankfort’s Wells inducted into honor society
Matthew Wells of Frankfort was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Wells was initiated at Illinois Wesleyan University.
