In the National Sunflower Association’s weekly update, a producer from Onida, says they had no snow this winter and started out the spring dry.

Chuck Todd said planting was on time. He says they’ve received 6 inches of rain this spring, along with a lot of wind. Crops seemed to take a long time to come out of the ground this year. He comments that stock dams are still dry.
