We’ve seen the Hall of Fame game, but preseason officially starts this week and the regular season starts in less than a month. Every team has Super Bowl aspirations, every team is doing everything in their power to make the playoffs and have a shot at getting a ring.

Once the season starts, though, that’s when the story really comes to life. Favorite teams lose, rivals win, and there’s always a sleeper team that quietly makes their way to the playoffs before anyone realizes just how good they are. Recently, Bleacher Report released one reason that every NFL team cannot be overlooked this year. Here’s what they had to say about the Titans:

Tennessee Titans: Big Roster Changes

While nobody can guarantee that Tennessee’s overhaul will pay off, I can’t argue with the effort. Offensively, the Titans added running back Tony Pollard, receivers Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd and offensive tackle JC Latham. Tennessee patched the secondary with L’Jarius Sneed and Chidobe Awuzie before drafting D-tackle T’Vondre Sweat. The roster looks stronger this season.

They’re definitely right about the Titan’s overhaul, it could go either way. But the pieces they’ve added aren’t just solid players, they’re veterans who will mentor the younger players on the team. While improvement is expected in Tennessee, it’s unknown what the full impact of this offseason will be.

Still, adding players like Calvin Ridley, Tyler Boyd, L’Jarius Sneed and T’Vondre Sweat strengthens the roster. If the new coaching staff can get all of the players, both returning and new, on the same page this year, the Titans stand to have a much better season than last year.
