MINNEHAHA COUNTY S.D. (KELO) — On Sunday night, the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle accident on 487th Avenue, south of 253rd Street. A UTV with two occupants was traveling northbound on 487th Avenue when it entered the ditch, causing it to roll.
One of the occupants, a 16 year-old female, was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident. The other occupant, a 30-year-old male, was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
The accident is being investigated by the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
