On Wednesday, Boone County police announced that one person has been charged after an overdose death in Burlington.Police said that on Nov. 22, deputies were dispatched to the 6000 block of Rosetta Drive in Burlington, KY, for a suspected overdose death of a 29-year-old man. The Boone County Sheriff’s Office Crime Suppression Unit conducted the death investigation and ultimately arrested the drug trafficker in this case.According to officials, Jennifer Moore, 38 of Walton, Kentucky, has been charged with one count of manslaughter in the second degree; one count of endangering the welfare of a minor; one count of trafficking in a controlled substance, first Offense; possession of a controlled substance, first degree; first offense (heroin); and speeding 9 mph over limit (limited access).Deputies confirmed that the deceased accepted narcotics from Moore and that she brought her young child to his home in Burlington when making the delivery. Additionally, police said that the man had not left his home once the delivery was made and that no other person delivered narcotics to him prior to his death. On Nov. 22, a patrol deputy observed Moore’s vehicle speeding on the interstate and conducted a traffic stop. Moore was operating the vehicle and was placed under arrest on an outstanding warrant. The 38-year-old Moore was transported to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, where she confessed to trafficking in narcotics to the deceased.Moore is currently being held at the Boone County Detention Center on a $500,000 cash bond.
