The Columbus Zoo welcomed a new member to their zoo family: A Humboldt penguin chick.Since hatching, the zoo said the penguin chick has been growing fast.The zoo team placed all of their birds indoors due to the avian flu that has been spreading. The care team is hand-raising the penguin chick and will slowly introduce it to the penguin colony. The zoo said they will soon find out if the chick is a male or female.The care team said the chick has excellent vocal abilities to let the keepers know when it is hungry.The penguin chick is also developing strong muscles to sit up tall and walk around more.
