He’s got an interesting body of work.

A Pennsylvania “oddities” collector illegally purchased human body parts from an Arkansas woman, police said.

Cops said Jeremy Lee Pauley, 40, bought the body parts from Candace Scott at Arkansas Central Mortuary Services, the Carlisle Sentinel reported.

A neighbor called the cops on Pauley’s residence in Enola, Pa., in June because they were suspicious, according to the Sentinel. Officers searched the residence and found dozens of body parts, including multiple skulls, but determined Pauley acquired them legally.

“Some of it, to our surprise, was legal,” Cumberland County district attorney Sean McCormack said. “And as the investigation went on, it became clear there was illegal activity going on as well.”

In a second search, investigators found three five-gallon buckets full of body parts, including livers, brains and kidneys, local CBS affiliate WHP reported. Pauley was arrested on July 22.

The cops learned that Pauley had placed an order for body parts from Scott at the Arkansas mortuary, according to WHP. They cut off the USPS shipment in Scranton, Pa.

The mortuary where Scott worked had a deal with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

“We have a contract with Arkansas Central Mortuary Services to take the bodies for cremation after they are no longer being used by our students,” the university said in a statement. “An employee of the mortuary service is under investigation by federal authorities for taking some human remains from the mortuary that were donated to UAMS.”

Scott has not been arrested. Pauley was charged with felony dealing in unlawful activity and receiving stolen property and misdemeanor abuse of a corpse and receiving stolen property.
