New York City’s Board of Elections says it will post new, unofficial ranked-choice voting results of last week’s primary election on Wednesday after a first attempt went disastrously wrong.

It wasn’t immediately clear what time the supposed correct unofficial results, which will not include absentee ballots, would be posted. A message on the Board’s website, which removed the error counts, says only “starting June 30.”

Critics said the mistake Tuesday by the city’s Board of Elections, which released a statement saying that 135,000 ballot images that were in its computer system for testing purposes had never been cleared, proved that the board was not equipped to handle the new ranked choice system.
