Washington, D.C. – Senate hopeful Alex Lasry is blaming inflation on “corporate greed,” but then turns around and hikes up his NBA team’s ticket prices by more than 40%, making the tickets only affordable to corporations and the ultra-rich. He has blurred the line between his business and political campaign many times, but this time he’s gone too far – hurting Wisconsinites and their wallets. He can’t have it both ways.

This is happening as his primary opponent released an ad criticizing the $250 million of public money that went into building Fiserv Forum, the home of the Lasry’s NBA team.

Tom Nelson in the ad: “We paid a quarter of a billion dollars for the Fiserv Forum, even more than Foxconn, every dollar spent was taken from schools, roads, tax relief, things that benefit all of us.”

Either Wall Street’s candidate has no concept of money or doesn’t care about Wisconsin families. Or both.

Statement from NRSC Spokeswoman Lizzie Litzow: “Alex Lasry cannot have it both ways. He uses class-warrior rhetoric and then contributes to the problem. As an ultra-rich New Yorker, he has no concept of how the current economy is hurting Wisconsinites. How can anyone expect him to help the economic problems facing the country today with this as his solution?”
