Ah, that time of the year again–the Nordstrom Anniversary sale is officially open to everyone! If you’re someone who gets excited about fall fashion, it’s a good time to score some deals on some great fall/winter staples. HOWEVER (I always like to include this disclaimer) if you’re someone who doesn’t need to be spending money on fall things in the summer–that’s totally understandable too.
Anything you see that is “Nordstrom brand” or an item that you’ve seen part of the sale before is likely well-stocked, and will likely go on sale again during Black Friday (of course, many things will go out of stock, but a lot won’t!) The designer items do tend to go faster and not get a full restock. (In my observation.)
Basically, what I’m saying is it’s fine to not shop this sale. Or Prime day or whatever other 100 sales are going on right now. Don’t get FOMO!
BUT if that’s totally your jam, stick with me, I’m rounding up what caught my eye!
The categories that tend to have the best finds, in my opinion, are typically coats, footwear, hair, and baby gear. Items are selling out quick, but it’s always worth checking back for restocks after returns! Now let’s get into my favorite sale picks!
Coats & Jackets
Barbour Lavender Waterproof Hooded Coat:
A great raincoat option–not many Barbour pieces on sale but this raincoat looks like a great one! (I own a short raincoat of theirs and have worn it for many years!)
Bernardo Relaxed Double-Breasted Coat:
I have a very similar looking oversized coat from Aritzia (this is way less expensive) that I wore SO much last winter. The shape is perfect for layering and the color is really versatile, but a little different than the usual camel.
Bernardo Double Breasted Belted Coat:
I love a classic wrap coat and this one comes in so many good colors!
Levi’s 90s Trucker Jean Jacket:
If you’re in the market for an updated jean jacket, this one is a great perfectly oversized fit, medium wash and a killer price!
Lole Emeline Water Repellent 550 Fill Power Down Puffer Jacket:
I am a HUGE fan of Lole jackets and coats (but rarely ever see them on sale!) I’ve owned my Emeline jacket for years and if you need a non-bulky puffer jacket, this one doesn’t take up much room and is great for outdoor activity/runs/trips/etc but it’s 550 fill power and is SHOCKINGLY warm!
Lole Piper Waterproof Oversize Rain Jacket:
Another Lole coat–I don’t own this one but I own a much older Lole rain jacket that I adore. It’s super light (it looks like this one is too) and again, very practical! Waterproof and lined so it’ll keep you dry and toasty–AND stylish!
London Fog Water Resistant Belted Trench Coat:
Speaking of coats I’ve owned and loved for years, London Fog has not one but THREE trenches as part of the sale. A truly iconic style that you will wear into the ground for years and years. Mine is still going strong but TBH it’s a little snug now because I bought mine like 10 years ago when I wore a smaller size–I am thinking of upgrading this year to one that fits a bit better! All three styles look great, come in multiple colors and are beautifully classic!
London Fog Water Resistant Belted Trench Coat:

Love that this one has a removable liner! Also comes in a light grey color.

Birkenstock Big Buckle Birkenstocks:
My favorite Big Buckle birks are included in this color! I never see these on sale, so if you’re in the market… these are a great find!
Franco Sarto Vana Flat:
I love a ballet flat (especially in fall and spring) and this pair looks designer but for way less and comes in really cute colors. Fun fact: My mom is the absolute comfort queen and I feel like a large part of my childhood was her telling me how great Franco Sarto brand shoes are
Nordstrom Mia Chelsea Lug Boot:
For the past few years Nordstrom has come out with a waterproof Chelsea boot that debuts during the Anniversary sale and here’s this year’s style! While this year’s pair is a bit different (I can’t speak to it specifically) various iterations of these boots have been one of my best-sellers and most-loved reader items for years.
Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Ox Low Top Sneaker:
I had a similar pair of Converse that I got part of the sale years ago. (On second thought, I have no idea where those went?!) But if you love the look of converse but want something a little more streamlined and feminine–these are them!
Nordstrom Dauphine Kitten Heel Knee High Boot:
This is oddly specific, but I have been wanting a pair of green croc boots for years now–but every pair I find is too expensive. These ones look so cute and are a great price! I typically have very good luck with Nordstrom brand boots. Come in a black croc and a neutral suede too!

Beauty
Dyson Airwrap Multi-Styler:
I’m never going to tell you that you need a $500+ hair styling system but I know everyone wants to wait until the Dyson Air Wrap is on sale to buy it, and it is! I own it, and I can attest that it’s phenomenal, but if it’s “worth it” is an individual decision! I think if you often style your hair it’s for sure a game-changer, but of course not necessary.

My T3 hair dryer I’ve had for many years is also on sale if you’ve been in the market for a new one. I think it takes a lot less time than other dryers I’ve used with less frizz, it’s super light (so it doesn’t make your arm tired!) and has lasted me many years and I’ve always been really happy with it!

I have a few different Madewell totes that I’ve loved over the years and have held up great. I love the look of this one, it’s not too big but not too small, and I like the two straps for extra versatility
Barefoot Dreams Short Robe:
Is is even the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale if Barefoot Dreams aren’t included? I bought a Barefoot dreams bathrobe at the start of the pandemic and was my favorite purchase of the year by far. It’s SO warm and seriously one of the softest things you’ve ever worn. I know BF gets a lot of hype, but the truth is, it gets all the hype because it’s just that good. If you’re looking to invest in a big super soft robe, this is it! You can’t beat it! Comes in 3 colors.

Nordstrom Moonlight Short Pajamas:

Nuna TRVL™ LX + PIPA™ urbn Stroller & Car Seat Travel System:
If I were a new/expectant mom living in the city, this is the stroller + carseat combo I would get. We have this stroller and while it’s called the TRVL (for travel) we used it as our everyday stroller. It collapses with one hand, is so lightweight I could carry it up and down the stairs in one hand (without having to make multiple trips) and the Pipa pops right into it.
