The NFL Pro Bowl will be played in Las Vegas again next year, according to a league spokesperson.
In a statement, the NFL said it hopes to build on the “incredible success” of this year’s all-star game, which was played at Allegiant Stadium in February.
The league also noted a successful NFL Draft that took place in Las Vegas in April.
“We are thrilled to bring the 2023 Pro Bowl back to the city for the second year and continue our partnership with the (Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority) and the Las Vegas Raiders,” the league said.
The league said “exciting changes” for the Pro Bowl game will likely be announced in the coming weeks.
The NFL’s announcement today came after LVCVA board members voted to approve $1.75 million for the league’s Pro Bowl host fee.
This year’s Pro Bowl game drew just under 30,000 out-of-town visitors to Las Vegas, Brian Yost, the LVCVA’s chief operating officer, said at today’s board meeting at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The host fee, which is paid to the NFL, for the 2022 Pro Bowl was also $1.75 million.
A date for the 2023 game has not been set, though the game is expected to take place in February.
