SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A Buffalo, New York, man was sentenced Monday to 30 years in federal prison for producing child pornography involving a South Dakota minor, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office District of South Dakota.
Timothy Raymond Myers, 39, will serve this sentence concurrently to a 20-year federal sentence he received in New York in 2020.
Between July 4, 2016, and July 2, 2017, Myers impersonated a teenage male on Facebook and contacted a teenage minor female in South Dakota, according to the U.S. Attorney in South Dakota. Myers persuaded the girl to send sexually explicit photos to him. He then threatened to publicly expose the photos unless she would send more of them.
Myers was indicted by a South Dakota federal grand jury in July 2023. He pleaded guilty on April 30, 2024. Myers is also known as C.J. Mikowski and Colin James
