NEW YORK (AP) — New York City’s interim police commissioner has revealed that federal authorities executed search warrants at his homes. Thomas Donlon issued a statement late Saturday through the police department saying authorities took “materials” that came into his possession 20 years ago and were unrelated to his work for the police department. The statement does not address what the investigation was about, which federal authorities were involved or what “materials” had been seized. Donlon was appointed to serve as the interim commissioner just a week ago after the previous police commissioner resigned.
