SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A popular Mexican restaurant is making a return.

Less than a month after closing, Casa del Rey will have new owners who plan to keep the name and everything with the restaurant the same.

The ownership group includes members of the Eining family – Tate, Janet and Kibbi McCormick. The same family owns and operates popular Sioux Falls restaurants like Original Pancake House and Josiah’s.

McCormick told KELOLAND News the family hopes to reopen Casa del Rey by mid-September and they are already working to clean up the building.

KELOLAND News will have more about the popular restaurant returning Friday.

Casa del Rey closed at the end of July.

In 2016, KELOLAND News highlighted Casa del Rey’s business boom during the basketball tournaments in March.
