PUKWANA, S.D. (KELO) — The name of the victim of a deadly two-vehicle crash near Pukwana in Brule County has been released.
Preliminary crash information states that 64-year-old Leonard Kocer of Wagner, South Dakota was the name of the man who died.
Kocer was driving westbound on Interstate 90 near mile marker 272. A 2007 Ford Mustang driven by Stephanie Elder collided into the backside of Kocer’s 1997 Ford F150, causing Kocer to lose control. The truck entered the north side ditch, rolled and ejected the driver.
Kocer was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Elder was uninjured.
Both drivers were not wearing their seatbelts.
The South Dakota highway patrol is investigating this incident. All information released is preliminary.
