SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) — A man that died in a crash on Friday has been identified by the Department of Public Safety.
According to a news release, 73-year-old John Wilson Whaley, of Pierre, was traveling westbound on Interstate 90 near mile marker 110 in a 1929 Ford Model A when it departed its lane to the left. Whaley overcorrected to the right and began to roll.
The vehicle crossed the shoulder, entered the north ditch and rolled. Whaley was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.
All information is preliminary and the South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
