BIRMINGHAM, ALA. (KELO) — Sioux Falls native Ndjakalenga Mwenentanda and the Texas Longhorns are onto the Elite Eight in the women’s NCAA Tournament. The top-seeded Longhorns defeated five-seed Tennessee 67-59 in the Sweeet 16 on Saturday.
The junior guard from Washington High School scored five points while playing 21 minutes in her first career NCAA Tournament start.
Mwenentanda and Texas will take on two-seed TCU for a spot in the final four Monday night at 6 p.m. CT.
