MUNCIE, Ind. — A Muncie man has been convicted of triple murder, along with multiple other felonies, after a jury found him guilty of multiple crimes committed in 2022.
According to the Delaware County Prosecutor’s Office, 30-year-old Devin X. Myers faces the following charges:
- Three counts of murder
- Armed robbery (Level 3 Felony)
- Criminal confinement (Level 3 Felony)
- Conspiracy to commit robbery resulting in serious bodily injury (Level 3 Felony)
- Obstruction of justice (Level 6 Felony)
After the jury returned their verdict, Myers also admitted to using a firearm during the murder — a detail that will add further enhancement to his eventual sentencing.
Per the DCPO, Myers also admitted to being a habitual offender. He was previously charged with battery with a deadly weapon (Class C Felony) and armed robbery (Class B Felony).
All of this stems from the shooting deaths of 69-year-old Malcolm Perdue, 51-year-old Kyndra Swift and 19-year-old Kyler Ryan Musick. According to previous reports, these three were killed after Myers attempted an invasion of their home. Court documents indicate that Myers and Musick knew one another.
Daniel Jones of Muncie and Alexandra Reagan of Albany were also charged in connection to these murders. As of this article’s publication, neither Jones nor Reagan have been convicted.
Later, Myers was charged with a prisoner possessing a deadly weapon, intimidation (three counts) and criminal mischief after he reportedly had a shank and threatened officers while at the Delaware County Jail. The jury did not convict Myers of these charges.
Myers’ sentencing date is set for December 20 at 9 a.m.
