INDIANAPOLIS — Multiple children and one adult were injured in a crash on the east side of Indianapolis Friday night.

According to a post on X from the Indianapolis Fire Department, crews responded to the area of 21st Street and Shadeland Avenue around 5:27 p.m. When first responders made it to the scene, they found multiple vehicles that had been involved in a crash.

IFD reported that one of its extrication task forces was called to the scene to help get an adult male driver out of one of the damaged cars. The man was stuck inside a vehicle that rolled three times after it was struck.

Those who sustained injuries in the crash were transported from the scene to local hospitals, per IFD.

As of this article’s publication, it is unknown what condition the injured individuals are in. Authorities also have not released any information about what might have caused the crash.
