INDIANAPOLIS — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on the south side of Indianapolis Sunday afternoon.
Public police reporting systems indicate officers were called to the intersection of Heathwood Drive and South Emerson Avenue around 2:55 p.m. on a report of a personal injury crash. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers at the scene told FOX59 and CBS4 a motorcycle and one other car were involved in the crash.
After the crash, the driver of the motorcycle — an adult male — was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. IMPD has confirmed that the motorcyclist was ultimately pronounced dead at the hospital.
The driver of the car was not injured in the crash, according to IMPD. As of this article’s publication, no additional information on the crash had been made available.
